Q: What is the recommended browser for taking online classes with the WSCJTC Acadis Portal.

A: It is recommended that you use the most current views of Chrome, Firefox or Edge for taking online courses in the portal. Please review Solutions of Missing “Launch” or “Continue Button” for Online Events.

Q: What if my browser isn't current?

A:  You may have to contact your IT department to update your computer's browser.  If they allow you to do it yourself, and it isn't set to automatically update, generally you can update browsers under Settings > Help > About (browser name). Otherwise, contact your IT department.

Q: I got a fatal error.

A: Fatal errors are usually lost internet connection.  So if you're mobile or in your car, it might happen.  We suggest closing the browser and trying again.  It should start where you either left off or where you lost connection.

Additionally:  Computers want to remember bad things, so if you get caught in a loop of not being able to get back into the portal.  Clear your cache/history and try again. Links on how to clear your cache is in the article: Solutions of Missing “Launch” or “Continue Button” for Online Events

Q: Can I leave the training in the middle?

A: Yup! Calls for help happen, close the browser window and it will return you to where you left off.

Q: Are you having video/audio Issues with Chrome?

A: Check your Chrome settings.  Under settings go to Privacy and security and select site settings.  Select the Acadis Portal from your recent activity list. Mute is an option.  Make sure it's set to Automatic or Allow..

If only ONE video is effected, then it could be a problem with the HTML 5 player.  Make sure Chrome is up to date.

Q: I'm trying to take an online class, but I got this message.

A: Individual personnel can not register for any training with the WSCJTC.  All training must be approved and submitted by agency training officers/managers.  Please see your training officer/manager.
