When applying for WSCJTC Instructor Certification (ICP), all potential instructors MUST have completed WSCJTC's 2001 Instructor Development course. This workflow is for any potential instructors who have another 40-hour Instructor Development course they would like to submit for an ID Waiver.
This workflow can be started in the portal or by the WSCJTC Program Managers.
- The applicant can go in the portal > Links & Webforms > Start a Workflow > Instructor Development Waiver for Instructor Certification.
- Fill in: Start Date – Today’s Date and Due Date – 1 Month Later > Click Save
- Go to My Work > Current Tasks > and complete “Applicant Completes Instructor Development 1 Waiver Request Webform” by clicking the “Start Webform” on the far right.
NOTE: "Current Tasks" does not appear until you are assigned the task, which will be after you start the workflow. This task is due 7 days after the start of the workflow.
- The Applicant Information will automatically populate with the information from the portal.
- Choose the program you will be teaching.
- Complete the Training Waiver Request Information that matches the documentation you will be submitting.
- Complete the Required Document Uploads. The webform requires the upload of two documents:
- Course syllabus or outline which outlines all topics taught.
- Proof of successful completion. Diploma or Official Transcript are both accepted.
- Name all files with your name and the type of document it is.
- Example: VNMathews – Diploma
- Accepted formats: .pdf is the preferred format; however, the portal can accept all MS Office formats and .jpg/.png formats as well.
- Click the Upload > Click Choose File and click Save
- IMPORTANT: Do NOT check the “Document Permission” check box.
- You can use the X to delete the file and/or change it.
- Click Submit & Mark Task as Complete when you are done.
After you click Submit & Mark Task as complete, you will receive an email saying it was submitted.
What happens next?
Approval – When your waiver is approved, you will receive that notification. The ICP Program Assistant has 7 days to add the waiver to your training record. The training waiver on your record will be accepted for any time Instructor Development is required for certification or training pre-requisites. You will NOT receive a diploma for this waiver.
Rejection – When your waiver is rejected, you will receive that notification. If you have questions, contact the program manager of the program you want to teach.
The Workflow, everything you submitted, and the approval or rejection stays in Acadis as is a part of your person record.
