Crisis intervention training is required by RCW 43.101.427
WAC 139.05.300(1)) was updated for 2026 to now includes all certified peace officers (includes tribal and limited commissioned officers), reserve peace officers, and all certified corrections officers per definitions of WAC 139-01-310, RCW 43.101.095, RCW 43.101.157 and WAC 139.05.810.
This course is required as part of an all certified peace officer’s 24-HR annual in-service training pursuant to WAC 139.05.300 using calendar year January 1 – December 31.
The course is assigned the first business day of the calendar year and closes the last business day of the calendar year.
Successful completion of the 2 hour Annual CIT Online Course requires a passing score of 80% or higher and will include a certificate of completion. This certificate of completion is good for the entire next calendar year and will be renewed when the next year's Annual CIT Online Course is completed.
Each year, a new course will be released with a new crisis or de-escalation topic. Failure to complete this course, may result in a non-compliance for your agency.
In order to complete the course, students must login to the WSCJTC Acadis Portal with their agency's email address.
